So Logan roped all of his and Katy's family and friends into planning this huge surprise engagement party for her right after he proposed. It was awesome! This Easter was a bit different. Our church, Onelife Community Church, hosted an Easter Egg hunt for the kids staying at the Children's Aid Society. We wanted to do somethings for kids that would not get the opportunity to have an Easter tradition that many of us take for granted. We did not get to see the kids hunt the eggs for legal reasons, but everyone had a great time anyway!

I was so excited to get to see little Ashlyn for her 4 year old photographs! She is just a few weeks younger than Carter. I remember meeting up with some of my peeps from Albert at Atlanta Bread Company when Ashlyn and Carter were just little babies. Wow how time flies! Every Thanksgiving, Brandon's family rents out this old schoolhouse in a small town in between Bowie and Jacksboro called Newport. This is one of those school houses that was 1 room for the whole school. There are always tons of people there - extended family and friends and lots of good food!

Sunday was Carter's 4th birthday! I can't believe he is getting so big. Man, time really does fly. His birthday party was Saturday at Jump for Joy. We had such a good time! Last Friday, Carter's class had their fall party and I'm so glad I got to go this year (more on that later). When I got there, all the kiddos were still taking naps. After everyone woke up, it was time to PAR-TAY! Crafts, yummy snacks, and of course lots of candy! I just love how preschool classrooms are decorated! :)

Last weekend was such a treat! Around noon we  went up to Mardel for the Third Day/Michael W. Smith autograph session with Crystal Johnson. I had never been to anything like this so it was really neat! I gave my camera to a girl working there to get an "action" shot (as the band's manager called it) and it was horrible. So I was glad Brandon was waiting in a good spot so I could get some better

Saturday we went to 2 birthday parties that rocked!! Hunter had the tumble bus at his which of course was a huge hit with the kiddos. It was OU vs. UT day so I thought this was funny. How to change your comments field I just learned how to do this and I love it! I've always wondered how to customize the "comments" link on my posts. It  is super easy! Go to the Design section of your blog. Find the section for Blog Posts and click on Edit. There are lots of things you can change here, but you'll notice you can type in whatever you like in the "comments" field.

The weekend of the 4th there is always a birthday party for Brandon's grandpa. This year it was extra special because Old Pa (as Carter calls him) was in a serious accident in May. Carter finished swimming lessons last week and FINALLY did everything they asked him to. He takes a little while to warm up to new situations and people, but I knew  he could do this. Last Sunday, we had our first baptism celebration at Onelife. It was a-mazing! I'm so glad I was able to capture the day. It was a lot of fun! Brandon smoked some briskets and everyone brought sides. Carter started swimming lessons on Monday at the YMCA. Last year he was in the baby class, so  he really wanted me to do the same thing this year.
